The BRITS 2009: Quiksilver Host Big Air Championships and Funk Night!

Laax, Switzerland – The British Snowboard and Freeski Championships and Quiksilver are pleased to announce their continued partnership at this year?s BRITS, when they take the title rights for the Quiksilver Big Air Championships and host the Quik Sessions ?Funk Night? in association with Whitelines and headlined by soul loving DJ?s, Funk Royale!

The Quiksilver Big Air Championships is a major draw at the BRITS, with the UK?s top riders including, Jenny Jones, Nate Kern and Quiksilver rider Jamie Nicholls along with freeskiers, Paddy Graham, and Murray Buchan already confirmed to be competing. 2008 witnessed newcomers Richard Hookes, Claire Frost and freeskier Joe Murrell throwing down World class tricks over Laax?s incredible kickers to secure the 2008 Quiksilver Big Air Championship titles. So if last year?s BRITS and this year?s line up is any indication, then the 2009 Quiksilver Big Air Championships promises to push the envelope further and provide an opening for more new stars to emerge.

For all the funk brothers and sisters the Funk Royale crew featuring DJs, Mr Chex, Ben ?Sneaker? Bailey, Matt Smooth, MC Tukka and Depp Sax will be bringing their classic blockparty sounds and carnival vibes to the BRITS for the Quik Sessions Funk night, in association with Whitelines on Tuesday 31st March. Their mission, to bring booty shaking funk to party loving crowds?.all nightlong baby!

The Quiksilver Big Air Championships will be lifting the BRITS Snowboard competition off the ground on Tuesday 31st March, offering competitors prestigious TTR World ranking points, with the Freeski Quiksilver Big Air Championships taking place on Thursday 2nd April.

Prin intermediul forumului, veti putea de asemenea comunica mai usor parerile voastre legate de site-ul Motoflash si informatiile publicate pe acesta.

Forumul se adreseaza tuturor motociclistilor si pasionatilor moto din Romania si isi propune sa fie un loc de discutii bine organizat cu informatii cat mai utile pentru toti. In curand, vom organiza noi concursuri interactive special pentru membri, printre care si editia 2009 MotoPhoto.

Exploratorul Alin Totorean, salvat de serviciul de urgenta australian

Daca aveti rabdare veti gasi, in posturile ceva mai vechi, un interviu cu Alin dat pentru liberinmiscare.ro chiar inaintea plecarii in Australia. Acum sigur are ce povesti …!

Plecat la inceputul acestui an in prima explorare solitara romanesca a Australiei, in cadrul proiectului ?Expeditiile Terra Magazin?, Alin Totorean a simtit pe propria piele arsita ucigatoare a desertului din jurul celebrei stanci de la Uluru.

Dorind sa exploreze cat mai mult regiunea din preajma lacului sarat Amadeus si intalnind in drum o zona greu accesibila, Alin a consumat aproape 48 de ore incercand sa o depaseasca. Din pacate, rezerva de 4 litri de apa necesara pentru un traseu calculat de 30 de km s-a dovedit a fi insuficienta, la temperaturi de peste 50 grade C, pe timpul zilei.

Deshidratat si epuizat fizic, cand se afla la numai 10 km de urmatorul punct de alimentare cu apa, a inteles ca se afla intr-o situatie limita: era 8 dimineata si trebuia sa parcurga aceasta distanta in conditii extreme.

A avut inspiratia sa ia coordonatele GPS ale locului in care se afla si a alertat serviciul de urgenta australian.

A fost recuperat si transportat cu elicopterul la spitalul din Alice Springs, acum fiind in afara oricarui pericol.

In acest week-end va fi externat si spera sa poata continua expeditia.
