The riders list of this 6star Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour event is led by the third of the last event and third of the Swatch TTR World Ranking List 2007/2008 Peetu Piiroinen (FIN/20) and the last years fourth Antti Autti (FIN/23). The fourth of the Swatch TTR World Ranking List 2007/2008 Risto Mattila (FIN/27), Kim Rune Hansen (NOR/20) and ?old master? Terje Haakonsen (NOR/34) bring more Scandinavian power to Tyrol, too.

The youngsters Arthur Longo (FRA/20), Colin Frei (SUI/20) and the daredevil Manuel Pietropoli (ITA/18), who has the heart after his unfortunate bail last year will be attending from the Alps. The Zillertal locals Werner Stock (AUT/21) and Peter König (AUT/20) enjoy their home field advantage. The German flag is represented by Christophe Schmidt (GER/25) from Schliersee, eighth at the Olympic Halfpipe 2006.

The head from overseas is the Swatch TTR World Tour fifth Andy Finch (USA/27). For sure he will as always stick with his motto ?Go big or go home?. We can also look forward to the 16 years old new blood hope Seb Toutant (CAN/16). The quarter pipe specialists Steve Fisher (USA/26), Shayne Pospisil (USA/23) and Chad Otterstrom (USA/32) are coming to the Bergisel, too. In total there will be 24 riders to compete.

Ultimul numar il are ca erou de ocazie pe Colum Mytton care a ajuns pe coperta editiei din Ianuarie cu poza superba de mai jos. Inauntru mai gasiti si un interviu cu actualul campion TTR Kevin Pearce + un overview al unei noi statiuni din Canada – Revelstoke. Ce probleme au si astia … noi ne bucuram de Carp si Valea Dorului, sa ne lase cu half pipe si alte tampenii … offf :)whitelines

The Whip f-117, nou concept de snowboard

Se pare ca sunt unii oameni care nu sunt multumiti cu progresele facute de snowboard (placa in sine) si s-au gandit sa dea lumea peste cap. Inca nu am vazut vreun film (sa nu mai vorbim de live) sau pe cineva folosind bestia de mai jos … poate si pretul de pre-comanda ii vinovat … 1899$!

A fost fabricat de Cheetah Ultra Sports si lansat oficial pe 20 Decembrie 2008. Ca specificatii tehnice si abilitati, aveti lista mai jos (in engleza, nu am avut nerv sa traduc in seara asta)

SAS: Seven Artistic Sins (by Rossignol)

logosas2For the first time ever 7 prominent board culture artists, some of them skateboard legends like Steve Cabellero and Andy Howell, have been asked to create original art for the new Rossignol twin tip ski line.

The concept is simple: 7 Skis, 7 Artists, and a mission to artistically express the 7 Deadly Sins.

Curated by Spacejunk gallery, the Seven Artistic Sins project provides a canvas for the artists who’s work drives the board culture movement. The art created for the Seven Artistic Sins will be showcased globally in exhibitions, websites, and gallery books, thus injecting fresh, artistic, cultural relevancy into the ski world.

With the seven artistic sins, skis are not just generic graphics and side cuts, They become ridable art.

Shoei Pinlock Anti-fog

shoei-pinlock1Chiar si pe vremea asta am mai vazut nebuni indragostiti de 2 roti … eu am parcat-o de la sfarsitul lui Noiembrie. Pentru ei, iacata o solutie pentru a nu ramane in ceata pe gerul de afara. Casca facuta de Shoei (eu am modelul XR 1000) are pinlock system cu care nu ti se abureste casca (aproape) niciodata. Pinlock-urile astea sunt de mai multe feluri si poate vrei unul de soare sau unul high-definition pt conditii de ceata extrema. Eu mi-am luat casca de la Unitedmotors (soseaua Pipera) si sunt foarte multumit de ea.

U-fly, skydiving

Nici nu o dat bine coltu’ 2008, inca ma duc pe partie cu placa, da ma apuc de promovat salturile din cer! Nu ma pot abtine … mi-a placut ce am vazut in Septembrie la Strejnic unde a sarit o prietena de la 4000m in tandem. Ea si-a facut un cadou de ziua ei, eu m-am ales cu niscai poze si filmulete misto. Mi-a placut cum s-au comportat oamenii de acolo, pareau profesionisti dupa parerea mea (de neavizat) si din ce am vazut pe site … au puzderie de salturi la activ. Pentru cei interesati io zic ca ii o optiune foarte buna (prietena asta a mea o fost multumita, si nu ii usor sa multumesti o olteanca). Mai jos o bucatica din filmuletul care l-am facut. Enjoy!
