Over the years, Simpel Session has hosted most of the top BMX athletes from all over the World. Each time the line-up tops the previous and this year some of the biggest names and most unbelievable riding is about to happen, firing up the biggest BMX party of the year. Expect some very insane action that has to be seen to be believed from over 100 top riders from all over the World. Among others almost entire Vans, Nike6.0, Etnies, Federal and Red Bull global pro teams will be competing in Simpel Session 10. In addition to the world?s best bike riders Rob Darden, Mark Webb, Aaron Ross, Nathan Williams, Corey Martinez etc, Simpel Session champions Garrett Reynolds and Josh Harrington and three-time Simpel Session silver medalist Gary Young will be riding in the contest.

E un subiect oarescum tangential cu tema site-ului nostru dar cred ca merita un prim plan.
De cele mai multe ori ne folosim de masina mergand spre/intorcandu-ne din locurile in care ne dam peste cap … e important sa ajungem intr-o singura bucata!
Ce mi se pare foarte fain e modul in care e gandita campania … in jurul familiei, emotiilor si exploziei de final.
In perioada 11-14 februarie Asociatia Salvamont Pitesti si Pro Alpin Club organizeaza la Refugiul Salvamont Cota 2000, in masivul Fagaras un curs de mers pe munte si catarat iarna. Cursul se adreseaza tuturor celor interesati de momente placute in natura si mai ales pe munte.
Tematica cursului:
iarna pe munte, mers, bivuac, catarat pe gheata si mixt, cum ne planificam turele, cum sa ne ferim de avalanse, cum ne alegem echipamentul, cum ne alimentam si hidratam corect si suficient etc.
Locatia: zona Balea Lac ? Cota 2000 ? Capra ? Fereastra Zmeilor;
Perioada: 11-14 februarie (intalnirea joi, 11 februarie ora 21.00, la cabana Capra, pe Transfagarasan.)
Cazarea: Refugiul Salvamont Cota 2000 situat la 1km spre sud fata de tunelul care traverseaza la Balea Lac.

2008 a fost un an foarte prielnic pentru expeditii: doua dintre ele în Himalaya indiana, respectiv cea nepaleza.
Prima a fost atipica, deoarece nu am escaladat niciun vârf, dar în schimb am folosit mult bicicleta pentru deplasare. Am pedalat prin Delhi, McLeod Ganj (resedinta guvernului tibetan în exil), Srinagar ? în inima Kashmirului. Dar mai ales în Ladakh, supranumit Micul Tibet. Aici am urcat pe biciclete în Khardung-La, 5374 metri, considerata de indieni ca cea mai înalta trecatoare auto din lume, dar am vazut si peisaje fantastice, oameni deosebiti.
A doua expeditie a fost în Nepal, în zona SoloKhumbu, aproape de Everest. Aici am urcat pe Island Peak, de 6189 metri, si am încercat frumosul si tehnicul munte Ama Dablam, de 6812 metri, de al carui vârf ne-au despartit 300 metri.
În urma acestor fascinante experiente au rezultat mii de fotografii. Cea de pe afisa câstigat sectiunea Paysage-Voyage a concursului anual organizat de revista franceza Photo. Acest lucru a catalizat întâlnirea mea cu D-l Eric Baude, directorul Centrului Cultural Francez din Timi?oara. Cu sprijinul CCF, si cu ajutorul Continental, expozitia la care va invit a vazut lumina.

Stiu ca nu e vorba de o noutate DAR am zis sa va aduc aminte de baiatul asta! In 2008, de revelion taman in Las Vegas, s-a gandit el sa sara pe si de pe replica Arcului de Triumf!
