Another fatal incident in motorcycle racing

Motorcycling Australia said Queensland rider Oscar McIntyre, 17, died in the opening round of the 2012 Superstock 600cc Championship race about 2pm.

“Oscar was involved in a crash with two other riders, Luke Burgess and Michael Lockhart, between turns two and three on the second lap of the 12-lap race,” spokeswoman Ingrid Roepers said.

“McIntyre was immediately tended to by medical personnel after the incident, but his injuries proved to be fatal.”

Keel Walk Stunt

 

This amazing photograph of sailor Alex Thomson walking on the keel of an 8-ton yacht was created with courage rather than Photoshop. It was an ad for fashion house HUGO BOSS, which has sponsored Alex Thomson Racing since 2003. The conditions for the shot had to be just right, and the skipper had to carefully keep the yacht at a 45-degree angle for up to a minute to avoid crushing Thomson and the jet ski driver.

Adam Horst a reusit cea mai suparatoare si neasteptata victorie din istoria Campionatului Mondial de Coborare pe Gheata castigand pentru prima data dupa ce favoritii Arttu Pihlainen din Finlanda, Kyle si Scott Croxall din Canada au cazut pe cel mai dificil circuit de la Red Bull Crashed Ice construit vreodata.

Horst, un pompier de 25 de ani, nu a terminat niciodata mai sus de locul cinci si in calificari a iesit doar pe locul 20. Dar a fost tare pe picioare in cele cinci runde de knock-out si, in ciuda, luptelor intense din finala cu Croxall si Pihlainen a fost umbra finlandezului, preluand conducerea chiar inainte de finis.

Kyle Croxall a sperat sa isi asigure titlul de campion mondial la Are, dar a fost prins intr-o imbulzeala in cursa din sferturile de finala si apoi s-a impiedicat intr-o panta cand era la conducere, o cadere care l-a impiedicat sa mai obtina si a treia victorie consecutiva si sa continue seria de sapte locuri pe podium la rand. “Am fost lovit de la spate si s-a terminat.”, a declarat el.

“Jocul” cu spectatori e cu totul altceva … geniala idee!

“The reason that this is such a big deal to these guys is that every player dreams of playing in front of a crowd of cheering fans, and budweiser basically made this routine beer league game, into a huge event. rec hockey doesn’t get many fans because its mostly guys playing the game they love late at night when ice is less expensive. for something like ths to happen is just amazing great work Budweiser!!!”
