To keep up the tradition and natural development of freeriding, we organise a competition with a descent of at least 2 kms of unmarked territory.

After a mass start, the riders struggle together all the way to the finish. The winners of each class go home with all the money collected at start with the symbolic participation fee.
They also obtain WILDCARDS for CAMPIONATUL NATIONAL de FREERIDE.

Gambling and winning in altitude…. The whole event is a full day of emotions and share based on fun and adventure. The excitement of the race, the thrill of the descent, rewarded through the friends you make around the grill put a smile on every face. Dedicated to our good friend M.C

The Gambler – concurs snow & schi / Balea Lac, 2 Aprilie ’11

Uite ca a aparut un nou tip de concurs de care noi, recunoastem cu sfioshenie, nu am mai auzit pana acum. Ideea e simpla: toti participantii (schiori sau boarderi) scot din buzunar 100RON si ii pun intr-o caciula pazita de cineva de incredere la linia de sosire. Toti concurentii se cocoata in varf de munte si, la un pocnet de bici, navalesc spre biata caciula si ghinionistu’ care o pazeste!

Primul care trece linia de sosire pleaca acasa cu continutul caciulii … adica “the pot”

“Rules:
There are no rules and first skier down takes the POT. Snowboarders fight with skiers for their own POT.Girls on skies or snowboards can fight for cash too. But everybody STARTS at the same time.

Participation Fees:
Each contestant chip in 100RON for the POT and the winner takes it ALL HOME.
If payed at cable-car @RACEOFFICE, the ride is for free. (Free transportation for the participants)

Organization and Logistics:
The participants are welcomed to stay at the finish area for a grill and more games.( FINISH at Valea-Doamnei, Shepard Hut)

Bring:
AVIkit! And friends. And drinks.
