A fost Vertical Step maraton…
In sambata care tocmai a trecut, pe 21 noiembrie, la ora 11.00 ? a inceput Vertical Step Maraton, adica evenimentul prin care Vertical Spirit (clubul pe care il reprezint) a inaugurat deschiderea celei mai inalte sali de escalada din Romania ? un proiect de o amploare foarte mare pentru noi, in care ne-am implicat total incepand cu luna iunie a acestui an.
Evenimentul a fost cu adevarat un maraton, atat pentru participanti si invitati cat si pentru noi, organizatorii, care a trebuit sa facem fata catorva sute de oameni, curiosi sa vada pentru ce am ?batut atata toba? si de ce i-am chemat acolo.
Asa cum era prevazut in program, am inceput cu ?Junior Climbing Contest? ? sectiunea dedicata copiilor. Nerabdatori, multi dintre ei au inceput sa vina cu mult inainte de ora 11.00. Concursul s-a desfasurat pe un traseu de escalada, departajarea facandu-se in functie de priza la care a reusit fiecare sa ajunga. Ambitiosi, micutii s-au straduit sa ajunga cat mai sus, efortul unora dintre ei fiind cu adevarat impresionant !
Nu am scapat insa de organizarea unei finale, pentru a-i departaja pe ocupantii primelor 3 locuri, care in urma escaladarii primului traseu se aflau la egalitate. Atentie insa: batalia finala s-a dat intre doi baieti de 12 ani si un baietel de… ?aproape ? 8 ani. Diferenta mare de inaltime si-a spus cuvantul, iar Cezar (pustiul de 8 ani, care ne-a uimit pe toti cu vointa si perseverenta sa) a iesit pe locul trei, nereusind sa ajunga la penultima priza din traseul de finala. Numarul total al copiilor participanti a fost de: 28, iar podiumul a fost ocupat de :
Dobre Marian din Brasov ? Locul I;
Baloi Andrei Cristian din Bucuresti ? Locul II
Cezar Bogdan din Bucuresti ? Locul III.
A urmat Cupa Presei la Escalada, desfasurata in aceeasi maniera ca si concursul copiilor. Castigator a fost Alex Florea, de la agentia de presa Ager Pres, care nu a parut sa intampine dificultati in parcurgerea traseului.
Dupa festivitatea de premiere, in care copiii si reprezentantii presei au fost rasplatiti pentru efortul si straduinta lor cu premii constand in produse de echipament montan puse la dispozitie de catre sponsorii evenimentului, am dat startul la « MARATON ? ul » dedicat cataratorilor.
Inghesuiala mare la Maraton : 93 de participanti inscrisi pe listele noastre (adica 51 de baieti « avansati » ; 17 fete « avansate » si 24 de « incepatori » ; avansati fiind considerati cei care se catara de cel putin un an) ? deoarece au fost destui care au luat parte la maraton fara a se inscrie in concurs !
Adaugati la acestia prieteni, parinti, reprezentanti ai presei sau pur si simplu curiosi veniti sa vada ce se intampla si incercat sa va imaginati cum aratau toti acestia intr-o sala de 300mp J
Datorita numarului mare de participanti si pentru a da tuturor posibilitatea de a se catara pe traseele amenajate, am prelungit durata concursului cu inca o ora.
Iar la final, cand aparent toti erau obositi, Oliver Batar (amenajatorul traseelor de concurs), a dat startul probelor surpriza: No Foot, One Shoot si un concurs de jump-uri (sarituri).
