EPIC 5 este inainte de toate o calatorie spirituala, o incercare nebuneasca pentru corp si o batalie mentala fantastica. Scopul acestei provocari este de a strange fonduri pentru fundatia “Never Stop” care urmareste incurajarea tinerilor in a-si implini potentialul personal prin sport.

EPIC 5 inseamna 5 curse Iron Man in 5 zile consecutive pe 5 insule: Kauai, Oahu, Maloka’i, Maui si Big Island. Distanta parcursa de fiecare atlet care va reusi sa termine cele 5 zile va fi de 1131 km (703 mile).

In fiecare zi atletii vor trebui sa parcurga 3,8km inot, 180km pe bicicleta si 42 km (un maraton) alergare. Progresul lor va putea fi urmarit LIVE via GPS pe epic5.com

The brain child of Jason Lester, the EPIC5 Challenge is an unprecedented athletic and spiritual journey which begins on the island of Kauai before traveling on consecutive days to O’ahu, Moloka’i and Maui and concluding in Kona.

Each athlete is encouraged to raise money for the charity of their choice, or to join Jason with raising funds for the NEVER STOP Foundation.

A strong advocate for providing opportunities to children, Jason created The Never Stop Foundation whose primary focus is on encouraging youth to achieve their full potential through athletics. The goal of The Never Stop Foundation is to help those in their formative years find their own true voice, help them build their confidence, improve their communication skills and learn the values of discipline, trust, compassion, self-reliance, and respect.

Proceeds from this and all future EPIC5 events will fund The Never Stop Foundation’s vision of developing a The EPIC Center in Kailua-Kona.
